Superb ranking
Our Rating Calculation Methodology
Our methodology of company analysis and rating is based on such statistical methods as multidimensional ranking and integral assessment. Additionally, we employ the Saati hierarchy analysis method to determine weight coefficients.
Firstly, let's clarify what an integral assessment is
An integral assessment is a comprehensive indicator that characterizes the general property of a unit, taking into account the cumulative effect of values of various attributes. Attribute aggregation is based on the so-called theory of 'additive value,' which states that the value of a whole is equal to the sum of the values of its components.
If the attributes of a set have different measurement units, according to additive aggregation they need to be standardized, i.e. converted to a common measurement unit. The vector of primary attributes [x1, x2, ..., xn] is replaced by a vector of standardized values [Z1, Z2, ..., Zn].
More details on our methodology
We conduct an integral assessment for "Superb Rating" through the following steps:
1
Creating a set of indicators.
2
Standardizing indicators.
3
Determining weight coefficients.
4
Calculating a comprehensive assessment and assigning a rating.
In other words, to make a comprehensive integral assessment of all the company's performance characteristics, the following steps are taken:
1
In our case, these are indicators that directly determine the efficiency of each company:
Year of Foundation
Number of Employees
Locations
Portfolio
Service Focus, %
AVG Reviews Rating (other catalogs)*
AVG Reviews Rating (SuperbCompanies)*
Profile completeness, %*
And others
AVG Reviews Rating (SuperbCompanies)
- the calculation of the "AVG Reviews Rating" indicator is based on the reviews published by SuperbCompanies
AVG Reviews Rating (other catalogs)
- the calculation of the "AVG Reviews Rating" indicator is based on the reviews published by Clutch, G2, Glassdoor, UpCity, Goodfirms, TrustRadius, TrustPilot, Indeed, Designrush, and Crowdreviews.
Profile completeness, %
- the percentage of completed information in a company profile on our portal.
2
Taking into account their significance. Various methods of standardization are applied, and all of them are based on the comparison of empirical values of the xi indicator with the specific a variable. This variable can be x max, x min, x avg, or a reference (threshold) x value of the indicator.
Methods of indicator standardization:
Zij = xij / x max or Zij = xij / x avg
If xij represents certain indicators, j = 1,..., m; i = 1,..., n, which collectively characterize a specific variable that determines the organization's performance, then the integral indicator (index) of this variable's impact on the overall rating should have the form of a linear dependence:
Iij = ∑ aij * zij
Where aij represents weight coefficients that determine the degree of contribution of the j-th indicator to the integral index of the i-th variable in the calculation of the company's performance, and zij represents standardized values of input xij indicators.
This index equals 1 when all values are 'best' or optimal, and it equals 0 when all indicators are 'worst.'
3
We multiply the standardized indicators by weight indicators, which are determined with regard to their significance defined with the help of the
Saaty method.
4
Then, we calculate the Superb Rating, which is the integral index for each company. Its value is used to assign a specific position to a company in a corresponding rating. The maximum value of Superb Rating is 100. Therefore, a company with the highest Superb Rating value takes the top position, and the one with the lowest value is ranked last.
Superb Rating
- the 'Superb Rating' indicator is based on the multidimensional data ranking method that considers the experience and size of companies, the average reviews rating, and many other factors.
Superb Rating for each company is recalculated
monthly from the moment of its publication on our portal.
